Managing Partner
Susanna Pen is the founding partner and responsible for managing all aspects of Epiven's Asian opreations.
An experienced senior executive, Ms. Pen has had a successful career spanning Europe, Asia, and the United States in industries such as Media, FMCG, Retail, Manufacturing, and E-commerce.
Prior to the founding of Epiven, Ms. Pen was the Vice President of Business Development for Bertelsmann and was responsible for its international M&A and JVs. Ms. Pen was on the jointed ventures boards in Europe and Asia with Vivendi Universal, Mondadori, KF-Media, and Kadokawa Shoten Publishing. Her general management skills range from Key Account Sales, Manufacturing and Turn-around management for Philips Electronics in Asia, to Global Operations and Logistics for Equity Marketing in the US.
Ms. Pen received her M.B.A from IMD in Switzerland and her B.A in Economics from UCLA in the United States.
Based mostly in Shanghai, Ms. Pen speaks fluent English and Chinese.
Managing Partner
Dominic McGlinchey is the co-founding partner and responsible for Epiven's European operations.
An expert in finance and technology, Mr. McGlinchey has deep operating experiences in Telecommunications, Software and Technology R&D with companies such as Ericsson Hewlett-Packard, Nokia, Unisource and Carrier1.
Prior to founding Epiven, Mr. McGlinchey was the Head of Strategic Development for Carrier1 International, a pan-European telecom company based in Switzerland. In this role, he was responsible for Service Development, Strategic Alliances and for initiating and managing numerous acquisition and investment opportunities.A published author in the area of Data Communications, he is a regular speaker at industry conferences and is recognized as having the ability to predict and explain technology trends.
Based in Zurich, Mr. McGlinchey, a CFA® charterholder, holds an M.B.A from IMD in Switzerland, and also received an M.Sc in Computer Science, a BAI (Honors) in Computer Engineering and a BA in Mathematics, all from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland.
Vice President
Pablo Monjardin is an experienced senior corporate development executive in Europe and South America.
Over the past 20 years, Mr. Monjardin has had a successful career in industries such as Media, Investment Banking, Renewable Energy, and Retail with renowned companies such as Telefónica, Banesto Group, and Robert Fleming & Co.
Prior to joining Epiven, Mr. Monjardin was in charge of Corporate Development for TPI, a subsidiary of Telefónica and successfully listed TPI on the Spanish stock exchange and expanded TPI into Brazil, Chile, Peru and Argentina. Mr. Monjardin’s general management skills range from being a corporate finance executive at Robert Fleming in London, a project finance director at Banesto and the managing director and co-founder for Ingenium Tapiocca in Madrid.
Mr. Monjardin received his M.B.A from IMD in Switzerland and his B.A in Business and Finance from C.U.N.E.F in Spain.
Based in Spain, Mr. Monjardin speaks fluent Spanish, English, and French.
Vice President
Julio Canga, an experienced senior business development executive in Europe, Mr. Canga helped various European conglomerates grow their business internationally in industries such as Chemicals, Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, Banking and Consultancy.
Prior to joining Epiven, Mr. Canga was the Director of Strategy and Business Development for Baxter Europe and was responsible for Baxter Europe's growth strategy and its related execution and post merger integration. Mr. Canga has extensive experience in helping entrepreneurs grow their businesses and companies improve their cash flow performance. His business development skills range from operational consultancy for REL Consultancy Group, to managing the incubation fund for Inversalinas.
Mr. Canga received his M.B.A from IMD in Switzerland, MDI from the School of Architecture in Madrid, and B.A in Finance from C.U.N.E.F In Madrid Spain.
Based in Spain, Mr. Canga speaks fluent Spanish, English and French.
